It began with a smell. Turpentine. Oil. Mystery.

Ah, yes, the perfume of questionable life choices!

No… it felt like stepping into another world.

You moved countries. You have a family.

Why paint? What’s the point?

Elena:
To survive myself.

Elena:
Sometimes I still ask, "Why is life like this?”

Only the artist knows how many ideas arise during the oil-painting process.

Painting does not erase all depressive thoughts and pain.

But it is also a therapeutic painting.

And because quitting is boring.

Never give up.
Even when life feels overwhelming,
There is always beauty somewhere—waiting for you to bring it to life.
