I am a Canadian artist who has worked in design and has had a lengthy creative journey across several fields.

I worked as a fashion designer in Russia and Latvia after graduating from the Moscow Design Academy.

I moved to Canada in 2000.

I work in an impressionist style using oil paints these days.

My art explores light, emotions, and the beauty of ordinary things, using what I've learned about visual design over the years.

The way I paint is dependent on how I feel and what I see.

I don't strive to display the outside world very precisely.
Instead, I try to create a sense of presence, in which form, colour,

and space come together in a quiet, light manner.

I generally work on instinct, letting each picture improve over time.
